This installation of text is a remembrance of a country I have never stepped foot on, yet feel so naturally connected to. It is a personal exploration of my Cuban background and the longing that I feel to a land that has seemed intangible and inaccessible for so long. These three pieces present a combination of childhood rhymes, Cuban sayings, and general ways of speaking which I believe are essentially what have continuously connected me to Cuba, to its history and to its citizens and immigrants.
